Little Dixie turns 50

The Little Dixie Fire Department celebrated 50 years in service at the fire department Sunday afternoon. Among highlights, Richard Lovelace presented Little Dixie Fire Protection District - represented by Fire Chief Bill Albus - some photographs and artifacts of the World Trade Center Scene in New York shortly after the incident. He obtained these from a friend of his that was part of the private company clean-up group after the government group was finished as well as a first responder. He wanted them displayed where other people could enjoy them. The department will have them on display at our Main Station on Agricultural Street. He even has a Certificate of Authenticity to go with the items. Little Dixie welcomed guests from 2-4 as part of the celebration.
