Thomas Deane Eisele

Thomas Deane Eisele, 71, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico. 

Memorial Services were held Saturday, Sept. 11, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Haddock officiating. Entombment with military honors followed at the East Lawn Memorial Park Columbariums. 

Thomas was born on July 1, 1950, in Mexico, the son of L. Deane and Susie R. (Kesler) Eisele.  On Dec. 13, 2003, in Havana, Ill., he married Glenda Vivian Brock. She passed away on Feb. 6, 2018. 

Mr. Eisele graduated from Van-Far High School and then attended automotive school at the votech in Mexico. Following school, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea.

Tom had farmed, ran an electrical business, and then worked for Valley Irrigation Systems in Nebraska, Louisiana and Illinois, until retirement in 2017. He was a member of the Lions Club in Perry and Farber and the Jaycees in Perry and Mexico. 

Mr. Eisele loved fishing and hunting with his many guns and fishing poles. He was very talented at a variety of things, such as canning, cooking and building. You could consider him a master at many trades. 

Survivors include his father, L. Deane Eisele of Farber; one brother, Ken (Barb) Eisele of The Villages, Fla.; one sister, Gayle (Lyle) Morris of Farber; three step-children, Katie (Cody) Sims of Mexico, Melissa Craig of Jefferson City, and Jason Craig of Wisconsin; a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his wife, Glenda, Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Eisele; grandparents, Gladys and Leo Eisele and A.M. and Grace Kesler; and great-grandparents, Pearl and Lena Dawson, and Hugh and Pansy Eisele. 

Memorial donations may be made to the National MS Society or the Missouri Veterans Home Activities Fund. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
