North Callaway is still flawless in Eastern Missouri Conference play.
Sam Pezold was flawless in the hits column at Clopton on Friday as he no-hit the Hawks to lead North Callaway to a 18-0 five-inning win. The Thunderbirds (8-4) are 5-0 in conference play and have outscored their opponents 68-13 in those games.
Pezold controlled the game, though, with five innings of two walks and one strikeouts along with the zero hits.
"They hardly had any foul balls," head coach Kirt Kleindienst said about Pezold's performance against Clopton (5-4, 1-3 EMO).
Kyle Pennell -- who went into the game in the top of state RBI leaders -- led the offense by going 4-for-5 with three RBI, three runs scored and a triple, and Keaton Bell was 2-for-5 with two RBI.
North Callaway hosts conference foe Mark Twain (3-6, 1-4 EMO) at 5 p.m. Monday.
