During the execution of the warrant, Scott Lee Horton of Mexico attempted to flee out the back of the residence but was quickly apprehended by officers on scene.
During a search of the residence, a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, items used to package and distribute controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were located within the residence.
Subsequently, the following arrests were made, with Horton arrested for second-degree drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Wyatt Kitson of Mexico was arrested for possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana; and Stephanie Bowden of Mexico was arrested for possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana.
At 8:12 a.m. Sunday, a second search warrant was executed at 1306 S. Jefferson Street in Mexico.
