William “Bill” W. Bare

William “Bill” W. Bare 74, passed away peacefully at The Villa at Blue Ridge in Columbia, on January 3rd. Bill was born on October 21, 1950 in Mexico, where he was a 1968 graduate of Mexico Senior High. He then graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business in 1972 from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After college, Bill lived in Kansas City,  for many years where he was a residential home builder.

Bill’s sense of humor and pure enjoyment of practical jokes is remembered by all that knew and loved him.

Bill is survived by his siblings; Gary (Maria) Bare of Columbia, Lisa Bell of Lenexa, Kan.; Vicky (Barry) Seitz of Black Hawk, S.D.; and Brother-in-Law, Jim Wells of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews - Amy Auwarter, of Mexico; Kristy (Adam) Otto of Summerville, S.C.; Andrew (Savannah) Bare of Columbia; Savannah (William) Bell-Hansen of Astoria, N.Y.; Marlee Bell of Lenexa, KS; Zackery Bare of Columbia; Caleb Bare of Columbia; as well as Great nieces, a Great nephew and a Great-Great niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Harry Bare, Onema and Cleo Brown, sister Brenda Wells, and nephews Robert Wells and Brandon Bare.

Services will be held at 4p.m. on Thursday January 16th, at Woodcrest Chapel, 2201 Nifong Blvd in Columbia, MO.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in Kansas City, MO at a later date in the Spring of 2025.
