No one can take the name away from the popular restaurant in Martinsburg, MO, Teddy Joe's Bar and Grill as it has officially received a trademark from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
"It was a long and slow process that I started back in August of 2021," said Ted Wieberg, owner of Teddy Joe's Bar and Grill.
The building in Martinsburg, where the restaurant is located has been in the Wieberg family for decades.
"It started out as my grandpa's blacksmith shop. Then it was Wieberg Implement, and now it is Teddy Joe's. That is why it is so important to me to keep the name."
Teddy Joe's opened on May 8, 2004 and has maintained a solid business through out the years serving great steaks and good drinks to visitors from all over. Ted says just recently they had people in from England, New York and Germany. New t-shirts will soon be available at the restaurant sporting the trademark on the Teddy Joe's Bar and Grill.
