The districts for spring sports seasons have been revealed.

Various area teams in baseball, track and field, golf, tennis and girls soccer know who they need to pay extra attention to now.

For Mexico baseball, it will be in Class 4 District 7 after being involved with district 8 a season ago. The Bulldogs lost a tight first-round game to end last season and joins a district this year that contains reigning champion Hallsville, Centralia, Macon and North Central Missouri Conference foes Kirksville and Moberly. Centralia was eliminated in the first round by Kirksville a year ago.

Community R-6 baseball is back in Class 1 District 12, which was won by Central Activities Conference rival Cairo last season. Conference teams also making an appearance include Madison and Glasgow, and other teams in the group are Paris, Higbee — who eliminated the Trojans a season ago — and Wellsville-Middletown. Paris was knocked down to Class 1 after being eliminated by Silex in Class 2 District 5 a year ago.

Van-Far, however, is back in Class 2 District 5 after a season that ended in a first-round loss to Sturgeon. The Bulldogs are back with the Indians in the district along with champion Louisiana and Clopton, Harrisburg, Silex and Westran.

North Callaway will have a different-looking Class 3 District 7 to deal with this season as district and state champion Father Tolton was bumped up to Class 4. Hermann takes its spot in the district along with returners Missouri Military Academy, Montgomery County, South Callaway. The Thunderbirds defeated the Colonels in the first round last year before losing to the state champions.

For track and field, Mexico is in Class 4 District 4 with conference foes Fulton, Hannibal, Kirksville and Moberly and other schools like Ft. Zumwalt East, North Point, St. Dominic and Warrenton.

Community R-6 is in Class 1 District 2 with conference foes Pilot Grove, New Franklin and Sturgeon and other schools Bunceton, Chamois, Clopton, Jamestown, Newburg. Prairie Home, Richland, Silex, St. Elizabeth, Stoutland, Tuscumbia, Vienna and Wellsville-Middletown.

Van-Far is in Class 2 District 3 with Eastern Missouri Conference foe Mark Twain and Missouri Military Academy and also Brookfield, Highland, Marceline, Milan, Monroe City, Putnam County, Salisbury, Schuyler County, Scotland County, South Shelby and Westran.

North Callaway is in Class 3 District 4 with Eastern Missouri Conference foes Bowling Green and Montgomery County and Centralia along with Boonville, California, Clark County, Father Tolton, Hallsville, Macon, Palmyra and Southern Boone.

Paris with Faith Walk had Lewis and Clark Conference foe Knox County in Class 1 District 3 along with Atlanta, Bevier, Brashear, Brunswick, Bucklin with Macon County, Canton, Glasgow, Higbee, Keytesville, La Plata, Madison, Marion County, North Shelby, Cairo, Northwestern (Mendon) and Slater.

For golf, Mexico is in Class 3 District 2 with Centralia and conference foes Fulton and Moberly along with Blair Oaks, reigning state champion Father Tolton, Fatima, Hallsville, Macon, Orchard Farm, Owensville, Southern Boone, St. Charles West, Whitfield, Winfield and Wright City.

Van-Far is in Class 1 District 2 with Paris and conference foes Silex, Clopton and Louisiana along with Canton, Fayette, Glasgow, Harrisburg, Keytesville, La Plata, Marceline, Milan, Cairo, Putnam County, Salisbury, Schuyler County, Scotland County, Slater and Westran.

North Callaway is in Class 2 District 2 with Missouri Military Academy and conference foes Bowling Green, Elsberry and Montgomery County along with Christian, Clark County, Duschesne, Hermann, Highland, Lutheran St. Charles, Maplewood-Richmond Heights, Monroe City, Palmyra, South Callaway and South Shelby.

In boys tennis, Mexico is in Class 1 District 6 with conference rival Fulton, Lutheran St. Charles and North Point while Missouri Military Academy is in Class 2 District 4 with Ft. Zumwalt East, Ft. Zumwalt North, Ft. Zumwalt South, Hannibal and Holt. MMA joins a new class and district after taking fourth at the Class 1 state Final Four a year ago, winning its first state trophy since 1992.

The Mexico girls soccer team goes from Class 2 District 6 to District 3 this year along with conference rival Fulton. The Lady Bulldogs were eliminated in the first round by Kirksville a year ago but will now contend with Fulton, Christian, Duchesne, Orchard Farm, St. Charles West, Winfield and Wright City.
