POET Bioprocessing – Laddonia awarded $5,240 in grants to five local organizations. The funds were donated through POET’s 2024 Community Impact Grant Program, which awards grants to a variety of causes throughout the more than 30 communities in which the company operates.

The Pike County Second Chance Coalition received $1,000 to offset the cost of providing immediate and temporary shelter for individuals and families in transition and without homes.

Van-Far High School received $1,500 to purchase resources and materials for hands-on biology and chemistry experiments in class.

The Martinsburg Area Fire Protection District was awarded $1,000 to purchase new radios for communication during emergency calls.

The Laddonia Ladybugs received $500 to repaint and replace some of the plywood on the annual Nativity scene displayed on Highway 19 in Laddonia.

The City of Laddonia received $1,240 to offset the cost of updates to the local library.

“POET is proud to be a part of this community,” said Steve Murphy, General Manager of POET Bioprocessing – Laddonia. “The Community Impact Grant Program is one of the many ways we are able to support our neighbors and have a lasting positive impact on the place we call home.”

Through POET’s annual Community Impact Grant Program, individuals and organizations are invited to apply for funding for projects aimed at changing their community for the better. The next grant cycle will open in the spring of 2025. For more information, visit poet.com/grants.
