Isiah Craighead surpassed his own record on Thursday in Montgomery City.
That record happened to be the North Callaway school record as Craighead won the boys javelin with a throw of 52.12 meters at the Eastern Missouri Conference meet to earn all-conference honors. Kymorie Myers finished second in the girls discus with a throw of 30.99 meters to be the other North Callaway athlete to be all-conference.
The top six also medaled so the boys that took home hardware were Levi Drake with a third place in the 800, Lane Kimbley with a fifth place in the pole vault and the fourth place of the 4x400 relay team.
The girls medal winners include Pressley Schmauch’s third place in the 1600 and 3200, Grace Rasmussen’s sixth place in the 1600, Braelyn Kuda’s sixth place in the 100 hurdles, the third place of the 4x100 relay team, the sixth place of the 4x400 relay team, the fourth place of the 4x800 relay team, Lia Bondurant’s fifth place in the high jump, Madyson Gordon’s fifth place and Megan Schmidt’s sixth place in the pole vault, and Violet Martin’s fourth place in the discus.
The Ladybirds were seventh with 62.5 points, and the Thunderbirds were eighth with 32 points.
