Based on the minutes from the August 18 North Callaway R-1 school district board of education regular meeting.
• The district approved a plan that will assure it will comply with state special education compliance regulations.
• The district approved on an agreement to fulfill state statute 167.117 on reporting fourth-degree assault to a law enforcement agency. The statute reads: “Principal, teachers, school employees to report certain acts, to whom, exceptions — limit on liability — penalty.”
• The district approved a children’s therapy and early education contract with an unnamed entity in Mexico. The district contracts for early childhood special needs students who need services the district does not provide.
• The district approved PO 22-000-1416 to the University of Missouri for $10,509.96. MORENET (The Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet) is both a data network as well as a human network. This allows the district to provide Internet connectivity, access to Internet2, technical services, resources and support, as well as technical training to Missouri’s public sector entities, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities, public libraries, health care, government and other affiliated organizations.
• The district approved PO 22-1050-1292 to Lynda Christian for $20,000.00. This is a PO for the district’s FFA fruit sales. Christian provides fresh produce to fulfill orders.
