Family was a key component for the Ladybirds on Friday night.

This wasn’t referring to the family atmosphere by the team but rather the Hartley sisters each having good games in a 49-41 win at Hallsville. Senior Lakyn Hartley finished with 10 points and led North Callaway (4-5) with eight rebounds, six steals and four assists, and her freshman sister Livia Hartley had 10 points, eight rebounds and two 3-pointers.

Natalie Shryock led the Ladybirds in scoring with 14 points and four 3-pointers, and Kymorie Myers added eight points.

The Ladybirds took a 19-10 lead over Hallsville (2-7) after one quarter and kept the Lady Indians at about 10 points in each quarter.
