The Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) is working with the Columbia Police Department (CPD) after several cars were discovered to have been broken into on Tuesday morning.
MPSD said at around 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, it learned that several vehicles had been rummaged through in the east part of town during the overnight hours. Additionally, one vehicle was stolen. Later that morning, CPD located the stolen vehicle with two juveniles inside. After a pursuit, the juveniles were taken into custody. MPSD is continuing to work with CPD on appropriate charges in both jurisdictions.
