As the winter storm moved through mid-Missouri, Jan. 4 - Jan. 6, the Mexico Public Safety Department has responded to five incidents of stranded motorists, slide-offs, or weather related crashes. The Mexico Street Department and Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) continue to work to improve road conditions. Residents are encouraged to keep travel to a minimum and drive slowly if you are out. As of this time, there have been no injuries from these incidents.
