The Honorable Representative Kent Haden visited the Mexico Headquarters Library, Tuesday, October 8, and presented the library district with copies of, You Can, Too! Journey to the Missouri Senate: 36 women senators share their stories. The books are the gift of The Honorable Senator Jeannie Riddle for the patrons of the library district. Each of the library district locations will receive a copy of the book. When the books are cataloged, the books will be added to the children's collection.
The book honors past, present and future female leaders in Missouri. The publishing of the book was made possible by the Missouri Legislative Library Staff, Mary Cottom, Legislative Assistant, Office of Senator Jeanie Riddle, Missouri Life, Inc., and Missouri Humanities Council.
