Annette Hatfield
Annette Hatfield, 86, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Annette was born on July 10, 1938, in St. Louis, the daughter of Otto Wihelm and Virgie Annette (Robinson) Hacker. On July 5, 1959, in Mexico, she married Glenn Edgar Hatfield.
Annette graduated from Mexico High School and continued her education at college in St. Louis. She spent her career working at Hawthorne Elementary School and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hatfield dedicated her time to volunteering with the Audrain Medical Center Auxiliary, where she managed the gift shop, assisted with the Food Bank, and contributed to the Audrain County Historical Society Museum. Additionally, she was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter HD. Annette had a deep affection for animals and enjoyed life in the countryside.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Hatfield of Mexico; two sons, Jeff Hatfield of St. Louis and Greg (Gail) Hatfield of Mexico; four grandchildren, Jordan (Miriah) Hatfield of St. Louis, Kaley (Alec) Melory of Miami, Clayton (Emilie) Hatfield of St. Louis, and Jaden Hatfield of Mexico; two great-grandchildren, Josiah and Kenley Hatfield; and one brother, Kip (Joann) Hacker of Phoenix, Ariz.
Annette was preceded in death by one brother, Rodger Hacker.
Memorial Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Susan Presley officiating. Following services, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall. Private inurnment will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville at a later date.
